The dogfight between that Liberator and the He177s was definitely an interesting read.
It's not often you hear about bombers engaging in air to air combat.
It did happens quite often above the golf of Gascogne when the coastal command tried to deny U-boot egress from their base of the Atlantic coast with some fairly success.
