I love .....Pooooowwwwwwwwerrrrrrrrrrrr.....
Looks like we'll have to have a supply of liquid nitrogen on hand to keep it cool.

I think I'll just pop along to the store and get one now...

I found several tests of GeForce GTX 280 1024MB. As it is russian site, here are only game tests results: http://www.ixbt.com/video3/gt200-part3-d.shtml#p28
There is much to think about, before buying this card

Codex, I can dig the 1gig of dedicated onboard ram, but I keep in mind that the 260 has 846megs of ram (or something near that), and that makes it a quite nice card too, not to mention it's more affordable for me. Besides that, I seriously doubt I'll be buying a monitor with a native rez of 2560x1200. That's in 30" monitor territory, iirc. Again, $$$ I don't quite have. I'm thinking a 24" at the outside.
Yeah even the 260 looks good. The thing is I have 22" Dell monitor 1680x1050 and I like having 4xAA and 16xAF. I already run an ATI 3870 but I want something with more grunt. I've learnt my lesson, though, I'm only upgrading until AFTER SoW is out. BUt the 280GTX looks like a sweet card for my budget.

I'd have to say the GTX280 is still impressive, but the value/price comparison will set some people off of it. Got any info on the GTX 260? That's more my budget, unless I can get an unsecured loan from Codex!
