Knowing 1c's trackrecord with sticking to any deadline for information now matter how vague that is that probably means never.

Video looks great, self shading on the aircraft, reflection mapping and I believe even some bumpmapping. If this isn't the BoB engine then what engine is it? The terrain looks good, I fly over southern england a couple of time each summer and it looks spot on.

Honestly if it looks like BoB, sounds like BoB then in all likely hood it is BoB and the SOW engine just for console...
Question is why keep it a secret?
It is sort of insulting.
I have no issue with consoles flying flight sims, I do however have an issue with a site that shows so little interest in its supporters to have such big news released elsewhere...

Wow.. What a great looking game.. I also see the resemblens between early SOW:BOB and this game. Could it be a modified IL-2 engine with SOW:BOB planes and terrain textures??

Hopefully SOW:BOB will have the same rolling hills and large towns.. Looks awesome.. Got to get my self a console

Edit: Nike-it has made it clear that the game is not related to SOW:BOB, but it still looks fantastic

But many of the stuff looks very similar ?? You just have to see some of the vids that where on the 1946 DVD....including some landscape shots...

No matter what you guys say it's hard to really point of but it's for sure a hotted up or a completly new engine(probably bob engine), because anyone can see that by just looking at the screenshots,,, it's miles ahead of what the IL2 engine is capable of.

This is the most interesting update in a way about SoWBob since a long time !

My theory: What we see there IS BoB. In a simplified arcade version for console. What we witness here is a deal to sell parts of BoB for console and to bring fresh money for the final developpment of BoB for PC....the REAL BoB.

Very very exciting !

I ask again: 1C guys I think we deserve an explanation about this !
