i have my trackir profile set to exclusive as well, otherwise it will just switch to the default profile automatically as soon as i start cliffs of dover(dont know the reason for that)
what i have done to avoid this center detent, is adjusting my profile according to it.
the default trackir profiles, all have their curves ending in the center of the axis 0/0, or at least tend to increase the closer to the center they get.
if you just have the pitch axis for example as a horizontal line, it will not stuck anymore in center view.or at least it will be not that apparent anymore and certainly not to an extent where it gets annoying.

Might have something to do with when you are zoomed in (like in shift-f1 mode) it seems to restrict the movement ability (try using padlock view when zoomed in to see it) and you cant view past certain angles.

S!

Oh, sorry, forgot to mention: FreeTrack

But I doubt that this is FT related. I of course have own profile for CoD which is the same as for old Il-2 except with all axes toned down as it seems CoD seems to translate the axes with more sensitivity.

In some planes, especially roomier ones like He111 I don't have this detent.

I never use the gunsight view, messes with my B&Z style flying too much
