I hate it when I try out some cool looking flying game, and find it doesn't support TrackIR.

I am always surprised to hear of people flying flight sims without trackIr

After all these years you just forget its even possible. A bit like flying without a joystick I suppose.

+1 for the use of TrackIR

for CloD i feel there is a "snapping" of views where the game seems to center the movement. Annoying if u try to look left down or right down for instance.

TrackIR is capitalist extortion! Use FreeTrack!

But seriously, any kind of head tracking is very much recommended for CloD(or any other flight sim). Personally I use a little curving around the center with the rotation axis so it's easier to aim. I have the rotation speed otherwise at quite fast so I don't have to turn my head away from the screen.

My profile has a small deadzone in the center and then accelerates as i look round, i maybe have to turn my head about 30 degrees to look behind me.
Cant and will not fly without it. Not only for the ease and edge it gives but also for the immersion it adds.

Mate, I've been using Track IR for years. I started out with the basic Track IR and, after getting use to it, found it to be amazing. I now have the new Track IR where you can not only turn your head but lean sideways, forwards etc. I couldn't go back to not having it. I also have a problem, after flying CoD, in turning my head to get a side view if I'm watching a show on Foxtel about planes and they're filming in the cockpit. It would be funny watching me leaning over or turning my head whilst my eyes stay fixed to the screen.
I sent my old Track IR to one of our members on this forum. I forgot who it was and didn't charge any money for it, also paying for the shipping from Australia to America. I just wanted him to experience how cool Track IR is. It's an awesome bit of kit.

I'm not using TrackIR as I'm not the richest person on the planet... lol What I can say, though, is that I've been using Facetracknoir with a PS3 Eye and am absolutely amazed with the results! I went from being someone who slightly enjoyed CloD but was constantly teetering on the brink of murderous rage about the performance issues etc to falling hopelessly in love with what we have right now, despite it's faults. Yep! It has made THAT much difference! Seriously! (Obviously, I am still waiting for the patch... don't want people thinking tracking turns you into an uncritical fanboy or anything. lol I still have major gripes but the pain is greatly lessened. )

Considering the general opinion seems to be that TrackIR is far superior to Facetracknoir (The price, if nothing else, should hopefully reflect that)..... I would recommend it highly! Once you start using it, there will be no looking back...... well.... technically there will be but you know what I mean.
