So the actual movement quality is not much better with the track clip pro?

they're just different ways of doing the same thing, both with the same result.

I've been able to attach the default reflector (intended for a cap) to my Logitech G35 heasdset as I always play with a headset on - works fine for me.

Picture of it here: http://mooch.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/trackir.jpg

The G35 headset comes with interchangeable pads to suit different head shapes, I've basically used one of them to fix the TrackIR reflector in place.

Awesome trick, Just did the same thing myself after wearing a crappy cap for aslong as I know. You deserve a Cliffs Of Dover T-shirt for that lol.

Update - All was good but now when I look up it doesn't look up very far because the Trackir is to far up on my head now. How can I adjust it to stop that happening?

Track IR for flight sims is like airbrush for model building...once you get used to it you start to wonder how you ever did without it!

The worst two weeks of my simming life were when I was waiting for my Track IR-4 to arrive after my Track IR-1 passed on.

I have had my track ir 4 pro for 8 years now it's been repaired (the leg) which broke during the 7.2 Mexicali earthquake. It's still going strong.

Won't fly Sims without it.

Immerse yourself in it, don't allow snap view keys and just commit to it.. in a week or less you will be completely sold on it. The amount of "edge" it gives you in MASSIVE for SA in a fight.

I setup facetracknoir in conjunction with a PS3 Eye camera a few days ago and after some tweaking I'm very impressed by how well it performs in CloD and other games. FTN tracks at 50fps/640x480 resolution and as long as the lighting is good I get very smooth and responsive face tracking. CPU usage (i5 2500k) is around 10-15% but has had no impact on game performance so far.

Face tracking is so immersive and I'd highly recommend it if you're on a budget or the idea of wearing leds doesn't appeal.
