Well, it's likely a VisibleDistanceFar=4000 change to 10000 or something like that. Adding it to conf.ini likely takes some work (such that a certain number maps to a certain vis distance.
Like =3 would be the 4000m we have, then add a new one, =4 for 10000 and so forth. |

Wait...
Make far clouds optional. Near clouds for all....but allow far clouds also for those who want them. Far clouds are too far away to exploit -- well beyond aircraft dot ranges. Is this Correct Thinking? |

Let me clarify.
By Perfect I meant CLEAR weather, not perfect mode in graphics (that is: Hardwareshaders=1). It is understood that the shaders must be on to see the extra vis. What I am asking is for the 72km not to be limited to CLEAR weather only, but also available in Good and Hazy. If this is already going to be the case, then my apologies. |

Oh, for Pete's sake, WHY? We will NEVER see it online on DF servers, because Clear weather is NEVER used.

Where is the debate thread about this or something? You guys throw in a great new option into the game and then totally want to take it away. There is NO reason why 72km should not be available in Good weather. Last edited by OAC_Kosh; 04-14-2008 at 05:02 PM. |

Yes, please leave it the way it is in the beta. Otherwise it could be a step backwards...
