I bought Clod back in November. 6 hours played.
You can probably multiply that number by 10 when it comes down to 1946. Especially since I installed HSFX 5.0, whoa, I (almost) rediscovered it. Clod has potential. Sure. But that's it, only potential. 1946 + Mods is still, by far, the best. Of course, on some points Clod is better. But those points don't weight a lot compared to the overall superiority of IL-2 46. All of my "flying" friends (and there's a lot of them) have been playing 1946 and / or RoF since they bought Clod. Technical flaws put aside, there's simply a huge gap of content between the two games (not totally blaming Clod, IL-2 1946 has been there for much more time, obviously). |
