Sure do you mean old 2001 IL-2? I can't remember if I-16s were flyable then but I did battles with them a lot later in Forgotten Battles. In the 2001 IL-2 days I was flying DID missions Dead Is Dead. F4s came along later in a patch as well as Es and the Stuka in 2001 IL-2.

Make that 1940-1941 and you've already got in COD the German, British, and Italian aircraft you need....just need the Map!

True but the map would have to be over 1000mi long (Alexandria to Tripoli ~900mi).

Don't forget about all the ship and ground models that will have to created that are missing in CloD.

Yes, use the Il2 ships. We used axis and tagged them as allied in the mission builder. Ships were for attacking and building battlefield.

No one seemed to care what country made a ship, train or other ground object in missions.

Yes it is best to have all objects by country and used with that country in missions, but it only really seemed to matter with aircraft.

I'd say that this, plus the multitude of German armour and trains already available in 'Cliffs' answers the original question already.

But my, I'd love to fly a Swordfish into Taranto.

Thumbs up

I would love to fly the Hurricanes, gladiators and early spits out of Malta attacking the Italian and early German aircraft. afterward taking on the battle for Sicily and Italy.

All the while being the underdog, especially over the Med.

All good stuff for sure
