I see from other threads you still have the problem.
Have you tried thse simple tests? ...... Move all the .ini files in the 1C Soft Club IL-2 CoD folder to a temporary folder so new ones are generated. Close any other applications. See if that fixes it. If so be very careful of any changes you make in Options. If your mouse has any software assocated with it can you get a simple plain old PS2 mouse, uninstall the Logitech mouse software and try the PS2 mouse to see if its the Logitech software or settings that contain the problem. Also consider if any other applications are controlling or trapping your mouse outputs (e.g. TrackIR can 'trap' key inputs for actions like 'Centre' so that only TIR uses them and they are not passed to any other application. Perhaps an application is trapping your mouseclicks?). Do you have anything else running that also 'programmes' the mouse in some way? There has to be some reason why it works ok for most people but not for you. Have you compared PC/Hardware specs?

Can I suggest you check any other graphics utility or overlay type programs you may have running and turn them off. These sometimes interfere with the GUI interface.

some other tips JIC if you're at the end of the rope . . .
install in C:\ sometimes winderz guards the program files . . . in non XP os's with vista / win 7 also when reinstalling, do it under admin (also helpful to run it under an account with admin priv) and do the right click and install as admin. I know some installs don't let you do this. Other thing is turn uac off. This wasn't an issue for in CLOD, but for other PC games on our vista 64 server, sometimes after the game starts, a few mins the UAC comes up, and the game's menus are unclickable until I tab out and look at the desk top to click OK I want to freaking let this program make changes. after turning UAC off, the game worked fine. And vista has a glitch that UAC's appls even while your in an admin account. And the handy thing about UAC is on some vista installs, all other PC functions are put on limbo until you ok it (like graphics or even mouse). if possible if nothing works at all, try moving off vista to Win 7. vista just has these little quirks and glitches that just bug, but they were enough for the IT industry to write off vista as next upgrade and hold out for Win 7. |

I can confirm at least that this bug not just applies to MP, it happens in SP as well, alas not as often. But what i did notice is, that most of the Times after exiting CloD, the gameoverlayui.exe is still running, while the game is not. Since i patched Vista lately to SP2, i will recheck if this Problem still persists.
And no, i don´t have TrackIR or any other app trapping clicks, except maybe for the RoccatOSD, which unfortunately i can´t remove without "losing" my Mouse for good, as it contains the driver necessary for operation. Without it, my mouse won´t work at all and i don´t have any old ones lying around anymore. |

In this post it is suggested to press F9 or F10 to fix this. Don't know if it helps as I don't have the problem.

I actually tried F10 and it didn´t work, don´t know if it works with F9 though.
The wise Edith says: neither F10 nor F9 works ![]() Last edited by FFCW_Urizen; 12-31-2011 at 10:37 PM. |
