Please fix the AI

I figured out how to change loadouts a while back, from the main menu go into options, play plane or something like that and then select the plane whose loadout you want to change and do it from there. I don't know why it's like that, maybe there's a way to do it before a mission but I haven't seen a way.

Currently I believe there is no way to change them right before mission and they must be done on the main menu in the "Plane" area, it's really quite stupid that way...
