Performance has improved a lot since I re-installed from zero three weeks ago... Maybe because of the patches, maybe re-installation, maybe whatever, but now I am finally enjoying flying the sim, what was my intention since the beginning.
Nice job, and please keep pushing and don´t give up improving. Rgds. |

those are not crazy dogfights....i suggest go into fmb and set 1 109 as player plane and 70 spits or hurris against you...(or the opposite:1spit or hurri against 70 109s)that is fun and not really hard to survive with the current AI.

Once it is patched and out of beta state (AI sucks, it has terrible AA and is having its graphics rewritten from scratch, just for starters) it might be worth 50 bucks. At the moment, if someone finds a legit copy at a bargain so what. Whinners crying and insulting others values because he didn't shower devs with money is bizarre values. You sir, calling out those who take a bargain price, that is out of relation. |

Icarus, if you had read my post#27 you wouldn't write such nonsense about calling out the lucky ones!

If you are thinking about buying this game read this first. Make an informed decision.
This is not just my opinion and is a fair review: Gamespot 4/10 When a once-popular genre goes underrepresented for so long, it's tempting to give any new entry the benefit of the doubt. That's especially true when that new product comes from a developer known for its dedication to the subject matter. IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover is one such game, and Maddox Games is one such developer. What to make, then, of this unfinished fiasco, especially when its target audience has so few modern options? Like previous IL-2 installments, this World War II combat flight simulator will benefit from a passionate community and the included modification tools. But that's no excuse for the clearly broken state it was released in. The technical issues are a real shame, for underneath them is a solid and complex simulation that deserved a worthy package to showcase it. In time, Cliffs of Dover might soar. But for now, all but the most patient simmers should leave this damaged aircraft in the hangar for further maintenance. |
