I have problems with red/blue chromatic aberration. I see them as if they are at different distances from me, with real depth perception when there is none in the picture I'm looking at.

I think this is the reason for what you see.

I used to own a record with very bright red and blue cover (for an old vinyl record). My friends didn't understand when I said it was driving me crazy looking at it and seeing it at different depths. I couldn't look at it.
I fell in love with photography looking at colour slides and seeing them as if 3D.
I don't experience it much now at all though.
