Guess your 2600K and the 3GB on the VGA makes a difference.

Go for the 580, and if you want a monster 590. Later when sli works fine you can get another 580 or 590 and you will have a beast.

If you are talking about great performance or poor performance with high-end equipment, be sure to include the resolution you are playing at. Saying you play everything at max with zero stutters doesn't mean much if you're using a 15" CRT @ 1024x768. Also saying the game runs like crap on your i7 and 3GB card is a similar situation if you're trying to span it across 3 25" monitors, each at some crazy-high resolution.

I think all you get for the price is a different looking product for workstations and a ton of developer support. Like personal support.

I guess this is a steal at only $1500.
I believe that 2 GPUs on one card is still considered SLI and therefore not worth it at this time. http://hardocp.com/article/2011/11/0...eo_card_review |
