Well, it seems clear. If anyone comes on here and asks how to get CoD to run on his system the answer should be "You can't. The game is porked, so shelve it and come back in 6 months to see if any patches have fixed it. But probably not, so just go away. Period."
Meanwhile, the rest of us that CAN get CoD to run well will stop wasting our time trying to assist those who can't and convince ourselves that we're not enjoying this sim immensely. Not sure why, in this case, that this forum has any reason to exist any further -- but there you have it.
