All the basic tools are there mate, become familiar with the map and landscape, there are plenty of landmarks and features to use as waypoints, and the protractor, and distance functions in the in flight map tools allow you to plot bearings and distances, there is even a clock in most cockpits for over water waypoints. It's not difficult and great fun once you work out how to use them, I love seeing how accurately I can fly a plotted course.
