I have never had a crash in this game before, and I have normally attributed all the problems people have had to PEBKAK, but in this case the explosion crash is a real bug.

It does not seem to happen (or at least it didn't happen for one attempt) for mid-air explosions. I crashed into a wingman and the resulting fireball yielded no crash or any kind of hiccup. But nosing into the ground at high speed yielded an instant, total lock.

560 Ti, 280.26 drivers
Win 7 64 bit

Extremely over contrasted cockpit lighting that I hope will be a bug.

i have 280.26 nvidia driver.
my settings in game is med, no vsync, no AA, no SSAO

They did it on purpose, so when your plane explodes, the explosion is so powerfull it sends shock-waves throughout your computer's system and therefore the game freezes.
Most people should know this by themself

109 PP and radiator IS working, just switch off the automation...

The game freezes if the effects in video menu high or medium. NO FREEZE since i set the effects to low.

I understand the concerns but they WARNED that they where concerned about stability and performance. They needed help hunting down the bugs hence the beta.
Some of you should stop trying out beta's since you obviously can't handle it.

Now, i am just as impatient as the rest of the lot here but i won't whine or complain about ANYTHING before i get my hands on a final patch. Until then do the tests they ask for or stay away from beta tests.

Yes ,that works fine for me to - now I can crash my plane like I use to do without having to restart the game "the hard way"

Yeah right, so we play the game with no smoke, no explosions, and no gun flashes and we're supposed to be grateful?

This is a war sim mate, not FSX.

How can they possibly have not noticed this before even releasing the 'Beta' patch?
