1. Left click on Men of War: Vietnam in the game list. 2. Click Properties 3. Click Updates tab 4. Click on the drop down menu and choose "Do not automatically update this game" 5. Unzip the hot fix into C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\men of war - vietnam 6. Start the game When the game starts, the version number should contain 13.09.2011 . Eventually 1C will roll out an update through Steam, so don't forget to change the game back to auto updates. |

Why not have steam versions update through steam? sometime in future that should be done for steam owners or game registered through steam to update to hotfix by itself.

it's a hotfix not a patch. i don't know how exactly Valve handles that, but it's possible they don't allow untested/unsupported updates to be distributed on Steam.

We wanted to release this hotfix as fast as possible, implementing it to Steam needs time. There will be be a autoupdate but a bit later.

There was official update on steam today I assume it was hotfix since it was same size. So if you have game on steam dont bother installing hotfixes instead set it to auto update in steam.
