But the gun sounds... they are 100% worse if you ask me. Now the MGs sound like nothing, no feeling for the violence of the things at all. Or is this realistic?
And I think even in a closed cockpit with a engine in front of you the guns would be much louder.
I want the old gun sounds back!! The 109's MG17 were perfect...
I believe that's realistic. Engine sound kills the MG sounds drastically in real life.

Agreed. Many People ignore how incredible "loud" those engines back then were. Lots of the gun sounds is eaten by that. And I consider the new sounds very very fitting to that, as only the higher frequencies manage to penetrate that massive bass box in front of the pilot.

Extrmely cool patch, the whole game looks much more solid, much more "integrated". I got those FPS hits, too, but maaaan, I can live with that for now given the other improvements.

Thanks!

Got mixed feelings. Patch and sounds definietely have potential. Got lag issues back with patch, probable result of memory handling.. over London seem to look for cache or something a lot, I get good FPS for a second, then it stops, good fps, stops again etc.

So GPU power is there to run it, it just can't seem to load it nicely.

E-4 cocpit is very buggy. Left side window slides forward (!!) instead of backward, and you can't click on the little plastic handle to open it (probably kept placing of "mouse active zone" from E-3).

Right hand side window does not open at all, neither does top window, even if they should.

I believe that top window also misses graphics for small plastic handle grip (like side windows), though I could not find accurate picture of it for comparison, I am pretty sure there was something the pilot could grab to open it..

You still cannot actuate flaps and elevator trim wheels at the same time, even if it was designed to be operated at same time, so pilot can compensate for trim change when using flaps.

Gunsight dimmer does not work on E-4 (its simple transparent glass)

BTW - I don't think Wehrmacht was enviroment conscious, so can we please get the Revi circle at full strenght lightining by default please? Its borin

FM (performance) problem is still there, E-4 cannot hit official specs at low altitude at full power.

Did not have time for further tests on any plane. Overall promosing, but please fix above problems.

Loving the patch here. Sounds are wonderful. Performance seems to be good on my end. Played last night. was great.

-Sounds are now superb.

-New lighting looks great however the white screen with the sun glare blinding out the whole screen is weird. Maybe the mental effect is more realistic though? Also, i love the haze effect (but may agree that if possible to make it effected by range so close up objects are clear and haze increases with range). Only if possible.

-Minor bugs im sure but nothing major to report here although think i saw some grass growing towards me on a landing last night... was wierd but it went away when i touched down.

-Had one CTD that was weird that I haven't had before.

-Still very difficult to spot planes online with new lighting (as we as old). Maybe a glare effect form shinny objects on distant planes would help? Even planes that are close are hard to see. Not sure how to fix this. When playing with a buddy last night I was in a fight with two enemys just above the west end of the mountain top german airfield on "islands of doom" map and was calling for help from my buddy. He was circling the same area at the same altitude and couldnt find all 3 of us for the life of him. Sometimes it is at a point where we feel that it might be a lag error but cant tell because it's dificult to spot planes as it is. Basically, when calling out altitude and exact location between wingmen we have found that we usually cant find each other / are extremely lucky when we do.

Anyone been having this issue? Is it that hard to spot planes or is there a lag issue on servers where planes appear and disapear / dont always show up due to lag? No joke, how can you mistake the command "over west tip of german high runway" and have your wingman circling saying "im here I don't see anyone" for 3 minutes straight when we were right there?

I've had same problem finding him too.

Either way, Patch is great and makes the game mega awsome. Can't think of anything I dislike about the patch more than pre patch except the new sun glare effect (but maybe it's more realistic this way and im all for reailsm). Step in a good direction in my opinion.

Just tried and must say GREAT effort.

Here's my one (for now) gripe. MGs in the Brit planes need to be better. Don't care if this is realistic (whatever that means flying a computer), it needs to make you feel like your spitting lead, not spitballs. My ideal would be Jafa but with the volume turned down 25%. I'm done...let the hating begin

I am still getting unplayable frame rates which I put down to my GPU. So while it looks great the FPS are all over the place even with reduced settings. Here's hoping for a Crossfire fix next.
