Derek becomes king and reigns peacefully for 30+ years. Speratist Humans on the outskirts of the Kingdom form a dark band of sorcerors, who eventually quarel. One group (northern) feels necromancy (skeletons, ghosts, vampires) is the way to go, while the other (south) wants to call forth an ancient group of demons. They don't agree, so both do their thing. this results in Derek's Kingdom being sorrounded by Demons and Undead. He tries to help evacuate the citizens and fight his way out, but by this time he's like 60 and too old for fighting, and dies of a stroke. A new hero must rise to the challenge and vanquish the Vampires, the Demons, and the armies of Darkness.
