Impressive photos and good landing. But isn´t it mandatory to close the fuel feed valve prior to such an landing? I would have guessed the engine should be run dry of fuel before I touch down.

Do you think? The crankshaft is connected to the prop via a gear stage and not directly flanged onto it. I wouldn´t expect so much damage to the inner engine. The propblades are wood and should be the first to break, I would think. But anyhow, I guess the engine will get a thoroughly check and some new fitting at least.
