Just tested and Fraps runs okay for me, or is this for movie making as I havent tested that, I am on v3.4.2 build 13203

You need to open the chat window
Hold down Shift + . (shift and period)keys, in the console type

fps START SHOW < to start
fps STOP HIDE <to stop

A Shortcut is to put this in the RCU file :

@a on fps START SHOW
@a off fps STOP HIDE

Then in the chat window, as above, type.

on fps

or

off fps
