I use:
-mod=mods\forestsDarker

as shown in the screenshot, along with other mods

where a "mods" folder was added by me into folder "il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover"

Forest Green used in a fantastic new movie. Hopefully this means the end of the citris groves. I had never even thought to try this mod with lower trees setting. Looks OK...

and as we're here, a proper pilot animation system (which is not at all hard to be done, as the pilot is animated anyway).
