The response is instant. No flicker at all. I was leery about it because of the suspicion of Logitech using poor quality potentiometers (especially after seeing how cheesy the throttle pots are) but I have to admit that everything is very stable and VERY precise. Also, Leo Bodnar's BU0836 board might do a good job at filtering all of that out as well!

All I can say is that it is behaving VERY WELL and I now love my G940 once again!

I do have an intermittent connection for the R2 trim and have traced it down to the network cable plug at the throttle. That's probably what I get for using cheap monoprice parts but I will be redoing that part of it, probably running a permanent cable from the throttle to the BU0836 controller board with only one plug instead of two.

As far as the soldering goes don't let that scare you. My soldering is far from 'professional' but still provides a very good electrical connection. It's not very difficult at all (just be careful not to burn yourself).
