Darn video cards.

I will re download the patch and if it still is not working 1c needs to look into someone messing with the downloads. IMO!

The latest patch knocked Fraps out for me too. Fraps runs through the menu's, but not when I actually launch the 3D part of the game. Full screen, Psuedo and even Windowed modes make no difference.

Have currently rolled back to the Fraps compatible beta patch that was released earlier in the week and am keeping Steam in off-line mode so it doesn't try to download and re-install the latest patch. Is a bit of a compromise though. Not a viable long term solution.

I download this from Steam out of Dallas Texas.
Could this be why some people are having trouble with CLoD. Someone at the download stations are messing with the downloads?

Slechtvalk says that is is working.

I have found files loaded on my PC from Steam that where put in my program files in the common file that where named a strange name. I was not getting CLoD to run very good or show the effects. After I took the file out the sim and effects where great. Very strange things happing with this steam thing. IMO.
MS are you out there?LOL

I try ed 2 other video recording programs and thy both work in the new patch.

Fraps just stopped working.

Its in the new code. Has to be.
And the sounds. Its not just in MP there are troubles.

I like this sim but come on.

I ordered a Crucial M4 CT064M4SSD2 2.5" 64GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) just to put CLoD on.

If that does not help am not buying anything alse for my PC to try to get this sim to work like it should.

Sorry if I sound like a boo bird right now but the fraps thing is a opps sorry about that.IMO.

Same here, Fraps no longer working with this official update on my system. Can only record menus, etc.

Thanks for the tip LES, I will install the beta, I didn't try it when released as the official one was planned to follow pretty rapidly. Will keep my status 'off-line' untill a fix is found or released.

EDIT:

Not sure if you can roll back, if you can - how do you do it?

I checked the Beta download and noticed that it has a file 'bob_update04.SFS located in the beta PARTS - BOB folder. However, the official patch writes/replaces 'bob_update03.SFS and 'bob-update04.SFS' doesn't exist in my directory. Should it be there or does the official patch delete it?

Actually, making FRAPS impotent could be a sign 1C is beginning their re-deployment strategy as we speak. No more videos means, CLoT never happened. Now they just need to start the global deletion process. Maybe some secret code in the STEAM cloud will help with this. Could be they had a secret plan to do this for a long time. I keep my fingers crossed.
