I wasn't commenting on the state of the sim, but on the state of the forums.

In that regard, i sincerely prefer the current situation. Issues are reported in a calm and actually useful way (eg, Insuber's bug list thread), our opinions are better presented and formulated for the most part which helps get the point across, people are tweaking whatever it's possible to tweak and getting experience with all aspects of the sim (FMB, scripting, mods) and when the SDK arrives they'll have accumulated some useful experience, etc.

The sim is far from perfect, but we at least have a good amount of synergy going on that will improve things for all of us in the long run.

They have my trust since I know they are working on patches, what more do you want? Tree, all I have ever seen you do in all your posts is complain about lack of communication from Luthier. It should be obvious to you by now that he doesnt care about your whining and has better things to do(like fixing the game) than waste time placating impatient baby girls like you.

As for the forums, yeah they are slowing down. Every possible complaint and point has already been brought up so its no wonder. When the US release hits it will pick up, and after the next patch as well. Oh ye of little faith...
Ive read you posts before, quite a tough guy behind that computer screen arn't you.

I don't understand why bending over backwards to keep us up to date would benefit anyone when a map has been laid out, Tree. Sure, I'm curious. Yes I'd like to know. But do I NEED to know?

The team has made 3 (?) patches so far, and if memory serves me they made a road map for each one. What vital information would you glean from a weekly post when progress is going as carefully as it is? What emotional fulfillment would any of us get if Luthier would come in and report that we're 40% complete. Things are going as well as expected.

He could say we've knocked out the SLI issue at the 40% mark. Then what if something else being worked on after that 40% update interferes with THAT progress and they're back at square one. Who benefits?

I think they have every good intention of doing Friday updates, but when there isn't a plethora of information to report weekly, why should they be required ti make a report? The bi-weekly report suffices for me when they've displayed they progress map.

Looking at it like I do, I can't see why it's such a dangerous game when Luthier can't make an un-promised schedule.
