Soon as I saw a vid of that Wii U controller I thought of rear gunner in a flight game. Apparently it has a gyroscope onboard and can display a different view of the game to that on the TV. So the pilot sees his view on main tv and second player uses the U controller and has full first person view and control of the rear gun/turrets. Gyro control and a swivel chair would be even more intense.

For single player the screen could give you a downward bomb site view while the main tv shows your forward flight view.

Here's hoping for a Birds Of Steel on the Wii U!

I played that to death on the 3DS recently. Played it so much I went cross eyed! Just a side note that Ace Combat is coming to 3DS...can't wait

Back to this new controller though, there are tons of possibilities for local two player. Apache with gunner view on the cotroller and pilot on main screen.
On BOP single player I would put tail plane view on the tv and have adjustable view on the controller. Look down to the pad screen to see your six.

Even basic radar map view on the pad would be cool

What could be cool would be seeing opponents view when he kills you on the pad screen

I like the idea of a pilot/gunner using the tv and the pad, but dont get your hopes up.

Did anyone play or have AAA? Apache Air Assault?

You cant have a pilot/gunner over XBL/PSN because it was to complicated to do and the host couldnt handle it or some crap like that. Though bad company 2 could do it, all be it on a dedicated server.

Who knows what might happen, lets not rule anything out yet hopefully the new game will have pilot/gunner options. It would make my day if that happened!! Flying a dauntless dive bomber with a friend manning the rear gun.

Can't wait to see how it progresses.
