[Earlier this week I updated my driver to nvidia's latest beta 275.27 W7 64bit, but not seen any oddities in other games so far]

3. no sound until about 10 minutes into a mission, thereafter certain sounds intermittant or missing completely - again never had missing sound in an actual mission before, only in the known issue with track replays and sounds that have never been there as far as I know (e.g. train sounds) ;
Zappa,

I had the graphic " anomlies" . However, after I updated my Nvidia drivers (version released 4-18-11 ) the " anomlies " are gone.
Never had sound issues.
Intel i7 960 tray [ 3.2/8/4.8GT], 6GB -1600 Corsair, GTX 560Ti 2GB.

FF do you know what version no. driver that is, I'm beginning to suspect its a dodgy beta driver this one I'm on with now, looking at 3dGuru's forums, a lot of bugs in it so that may account for the bad fps over a prolonged period (reports of fps drops in other games) and more likely it may be the cause of the rectanglar grey sea strips, I may roll it back to what I suspect is the one youre on now, version 270.61 which I grabbed on 19/4/11.

The sound issues may also be caused by this driver package as it installs an nvidia HD audio driver - new to their driver package afaik (I think for the actual Fermi cards like the GTX480 that can output audio through the hdmi as they have n+1 sound incorporated on the card, if I'm correct about this), again Guru3d forums were reporting sound issues caused by this driver, the thing to do is, apparently, to delete it from add/remove programs then restart and let windows see it and install a generic HD audio driver which you can turn off in control panel settings.
