That actually helped my FPS quite much. I went to last official patch and then added the newest beta over that. I first tried installing it over the last beta patch and things went ok but FPS was not as good as it is now.

ok...so far 214 patch wont even launch (plane appears for as split second then nothing) and this latest patch begins to load but then i am stuck at a window that is half black (bottom) and the top looks like the sky from the game...plus i see a throttle indicator in the lower left corner...it looks like the game is trying to launch me right into a mission??? and at the point i have to use task manger to end the game.
I have put this patch in over a fresh install of the official one i have deleted the consents of cache folder and deleted the conf file in both folder which resulted in a launcher error.... anyone else have this happen?

Installed patch, massive improvement for me in terms of FPS and graphics (ie I can turn the options up), Cherbourg/London ran flawlessly at 1600x1050 (I think!) and most options to med/Hi.
Only snag was the dreaded "no esc" to quit ie CLoD crashes and you have to use task manager to quit it and restart. Real shame as this was a big leap forward for me. I have now rolled back via Steam to the last official patch and it is a real backwards step. what was worryin was it took Steam about 5 attempts to roll it back (despite telling me it had been done)....probably me but then again.... |

Exit button won't work online.
Fps fine, did not compare with pre-patch though. Stutters really bad, almost as bad as at release. Not building-related as before, I think. Will put on shelf until fixed. GF580, i7 2600K, 16GB Ram. |

With your kit, which is more than adequate, it would be a shame to resignate because of the flaws of a beta patch. That's why its called a beta. Cheers

It seems it is possible to become disconnected from an online server and drop back to the menu screen, but on hitting Fly, one appears to be back in the server, with the same games stats info, but not actually connected!

This patch has further improved smoothness of play. I do now have to occasionally kill launcher.exe when trying to exit game. I also still get a graphical bug with the coast of south east UK where it turns into a big square block corner. I don't play online.
Win 7, 32 bit. Core Duo e6850 Nvidea 450 GTX. |
