Spend as much as you can on hardware. Or if its broke, fix it and can't be fixed...get rid of it and replace it.

Building or upgrade a pc is always a question of equilibrium between budget and performances. But look first at your budget. Then buy if possible the last material minus one. Let me explain, buy the GeForce 580 because the 590 is the latest and need to be perfected.
