Yep, I thought it was a trainer too, but someone enlightened me some time ago that it was mainly used as a liaison aircraft and for transfer flights etc...

In the game it's AI, and I don't think it has ever been on the flyable list?

The Bf-108 Taifun is AI only and was always mentioned as being so.

Mind you there's a tantalising hint in the manual regarding the 108....

Learning to manage the engine on a Spitfire will not at all mean that you’ll be able to use this option in a BF-108, BF-109, BF-110.
