Thx for the advice, Diveplane.

It is indeed odd that, when the game starts, often I can see the Win taskbar with the CloD icon flashing, prompting me to click on it to actually see the game splashscreens(s). It's as if Win is still overriding CloD as the priority program to display or something (normally games immediately go full screen when launched).

I attached my conf.ini (the one in Steamapps, not the one in the 1CSoftClub), but I can't see where my res is set (it's the same as desktop btw - 1920x1200).

Cheers,

R

Default Sorted!!!!!

Deep joy, and vast choirs belch forth their triumph!

I can consistently run the game, and I've just led (badly) a section of Hurris against a Schwarm of 109s, and it was super!!!

Now I see the potential.

I have no idea what changed, and I certainly didn't do anything different, so perhaps Steam has installed a patch or hotfix (there's nothing listed in the Steam update history)?

Anyway, oh that it lasts.

So, to all out there with the launcher issue, keep the faith. I don't know what the problem was, nor how I 'solved' it, but it's definitely worth it once you're there.

I'm not gloating, honestly; I'm just delighted there's hope and something worth persevering for.
