I had a look at the Boostep... good if it is true

the item was added on Jan 19, there is no image and the price, including postage) for the CE seems to come in at less than the Australian download version (which is a good thing)

it rings a bell though (its a almost too good to be true bell)

information on the site also suggests the CoD has been region locked, along the same three region system bluray uses

Following Screamadelica and drewpee lead, just pre-ordered the Collectors Edition from boostep.com for $93.95AUD delivered.

UBI Australia = download only for $89.95.

I looked at that boostep.com, and saw this: "Usable in regions Suomi,Europe, Middle East, Australia / Region B"

I'm in the USA.

So I guess Americans who want the Collector's Edition are just screwed, and that's that.

Maybe if UBI sees enough of us pre-ordering from foreign re-sellers they may change their minds and finally see what their customers actually want rather than being told what we can have.

I just told a work college what I did and she gasp - "Isn't that illegal!?" WTF!

It's a global market place now, I find it strange that businesses are so ignorant to the fact that their business models NEED TO CHANGE, it's 2011 for god sake if you don't adapt you'll die.

Maddox would have been better doing online distribution themselves. At least then they would get the profits, not hand over the biggest cut to Ubi.
sure. But they would have had to finance the project in full, without Ubi/ Maybe they could not or didn't want to at the time.

Bootstep has no pic and no release date.
That makes me worried because it gives me a feeling that they dont pay much attention at the sales department.
