Practicing take-off and landing in all versions of IL-2
Since the beginning of IL-2, I have: -
1. Select Single Mission builder 2. Select aircraft type from list 3. Select a Map area to fly in 4. Turn off AA 5. Begin flying in an 'airstart' situation 6. Practice flying, dives, barrel rolls, strafing runs etc. 7. Open map in cockpit and select an airfield to land on 8. Land 'successfully' on the airfield? 9. Keep engine running, taxi to end of runway, turnaround and take-off 10. Then land again and take-off again

For Practice i ve made this simple map for myself: http://www.mediafire.com/file/mutt0y...artLandung.rar It's a Dogfight-Map. Made a Directory in [GameDir]\missions\net\dogfight\ for example 'Training', expand the rar to [GameDir]\missions\net\dogfight\Training After that start your game, select Multiplay->Create new Server->(Gametype) Dogfight->(Mission Type) Training->(Mission) startLandung.mis Green = Airstart Red = on ground And for 'inspiration'  a track:http://www.mediafire.com/file/d80ev4...latzrunde.ntrk copy the file to [GameDir]\records Last edited by FG28_Kodiak; 12-09-2010 at 05:03 AM.

Thanks for all the extremely good information, you guys are super helpful
I am relatively new to flight Sims (my last was "their finest hour" buy lucasarts) I have tried several modern ones such as CFS3, but this seems to be the ultimate ww2 flight Sim.I did patch to 4.09 before but it screwed things up, Almost certainly because i have IL2 4.08 megapact v1.0 installed. I just wanted to fly the FW-200 Condor and ultimately I want to fly a HE-177 Greif, as you can gather I love bombers

Ok installed 4.09 and now the game crashes to desktop at 60% - Ah the Steam version is patched to 4.09 and by installing the megapact I was going backwards a patch - still I miss not being able to fly the FW-200 Condor, is there a pack out there with just the aircraft on it?
