The sys reqs really throw me off. They're ridiculously high, to be honest, at least in regards to other MMOs. It's over a year away and they've got sys reqs out? Why?!
As for the more Diablo-esque games, there's Torchlight 2 (2011, IIRC), Torchlight MMO, Diablo 3 (2011?) and probably a few more that I can't remember. I just don't think that Royal Quest is "needed", nor is it the wisest game to make. It sounds good, I won't deny that, but "good" means utterly nothing in the market. All Points Bulletin sounded, and looked, really good, but that went down in three months (I think there were bigger issues surrounding it, but it just didn't take off either). Tabula Rasa didn't last long, either.
