I tried changing resolution but no improvement over the distance. How far do you see the first appear pixiel a plane?

Standard for first pixel is 8km for fighters, slightly more for bombers.
AA tends to blur this pixel, especially below horizon (except with winter terrain), so keep low AA, and give one more notch in res if you want less jaggies. Main problem is usually at 1000m, down to 300m, when contact is below and same general color as background. Not much to do for this, except maybe a very big monitor (30" ?). |

You can change settings and mess around all you want but the problem will always be the size of your pixels. I assume you have a 1920x1200 res ofcourse.
The game uses a certain amount of pixels for certain tasks(like bogeys at 5+km for example) and when those pixels are smaller than on a 1600x1080, they will naturally be harder to spot. The only real solution is to get a larger size screen, given that the resolution stays the same. Or a similar size monitor with lower resolution. ![]() |
