I'm pretty much looking for pilots who will show me the basics of survival up there, I'm playing the game on the watered down Arcade setting and I can't wait to finish so, I can try the other two, more demanding levels.

Also a point in the right direction on a good flight sim configuration from anyone would be a great help, I would like to go Flight stick, rudder pedals, and throttle on left? Is this a good idea for realism? Thanks for any help, oh and my favorite war bird is of course the F/A18A+ Single Seat Forever!!!

Hi all,

Just got an X Box for my wife's exercising but just had to get Sturmovik for some flight action!! Am totally new but hope this site will help me! My Dad was a gunner on TBF's in 44-45 and kindled, all those years ago, my keen interest and passion for WWII history. Hope to speak with many of you in the coming months. . .

Received the stick a few days ago and also got the IL-2 game for X-Box! The stick is awesome but man, I can't fly a lick! Need a lot of flight time to be able to fly with you boys! In my tutorial flights, I am stuck on flight #3 where I need to use my gun camera. . .can't find it on my stick controller! I did fine with the Barrage Balloons and Heinkels but cannot finish the flight! I think my son can help me. . .!

Trying to play online are there members that are still playing online and any groups that I could join?
When I try to join online I receive the message "the IL-2 Sturmovik Birds Of Prey servers are unavailable right now. Try again
later"
