What about a tank busting Ju-87 - With the 2 37 mm Bordkanone BK 3,7 gun, that would be mint. No doubt there would be some mentalists trying to dogfight with them if put in the game..............

Think how much harder it would be to shoot down an XB-40, than the B-17G in the game..........

You mean the modified B-17 with the twin top turrets (the original where it was, and the second just behind it), and the waist gunners with twin .50 Cal Machine-guns put together. Meant to be used as long-range escort bombers for the other bombers, going to bomb Germany.

Yeah, that'd be scary to attack one of them.

They also modified some B-24s to be bomber escorts also.

I've seen a 50mm grenade on a old jet, a line of 37mm guns mounted on a bomber and some rockets. There is no way I can decide on the most powerful gun ever mounted on a WWII plane.

i will say the 37mm was used consistently and in huge numbers. the 50mm on the 262 was an experiment and not that successful...and not used largely. the larger canon on the mossie...i dont to what degree it was used. i would have to throw my hat on the 37 due to its success rate and was not only used in P 39s but the soviets had such good success with it they carried its use into their ac.
