I dont think so, maybe, and i will have to bet, that the rear and ball turret gunner eithr ran out of ammo or in a worst case sonario shot dead by incoming fire. And cant help that most of the bombers that were in that video were not firing back and were completly alone.

In the guncam video, they were, but the other one was USAAF or War Dept video and they were dropping out of formation all over the place, and only hit one fighter.

they only carried a few hundred rounds and ran out of ammo fast. Gunners getting killed was also common, they don't get killed in BOP. The bop gunners also don't have to yell to each other what direction you're at and high or low and deal with the confusion of having the formation attacked by hundreds of fighters.

Real b-17's had to fly for hours over enemy territory and endure multiple sorties of attacks by the same fighters. The Germans figured out early on that it took just a few rounds to down a b17 if you hit it in the front quarter, and they had plenty of time to fly ahead of them and then dive on them. They show them doing that in the American video

Ah yes Betty Grable. Mind if I call you Betty?

I'd love to hear more. What was your role?

Of course I should have guessed Branko... U were a rear-gunner in the B-17 in u'r last life!

Please tell us about the "Sentimental Journey"! I'd love to hear u'r story and see a few pics of the bird if possible.

sounds stupid but you should really avoid hurricanes on arcade they're absurdly overpowered on that mode(even more than usual) you get a lot of noobs who simply get on your tail and spray you. I've had my p-47 ripped to pieces on arcade by trigger happy hurricane pilots

Hurricanes in arcade can be a pest but they are normally outclassed completely by the Spitfire. A decent arcade player will eat novice hurricanes for breakfast.
On the other hand an arcade ace in a hurricane is a different matter. I know 3 hurricane aces in arcade that I know I cannot get a one on one kill against in my spitfire. I will get out turned and shredded in no time.
I wont fly a hurricane though, I hate its roll rate and its guns. The more cannon the better in my books

even in arcade u can fly faster than a hurri with the g6 for example. get into a nose to nose situation. your cannons wil clear the sky...

a flatspin is also a good countermeasure.

The Spits are wonderful planes, but there's over 40 planes in this game, and I only ever see two. So while it's an amazing plane, I'll continue flying my IL-10/Yak/Po-2/Anything that's not a Spit. Unless it's a B-17. Like you said, cannons are the way to go. Fuel up the He-162 for an anti bomber run and you can wrack up around 20 kills or so in a drawn out match. Not to mention it just feels good to fly planes you hardly ever see anyone else in, or that no fighter will ever catch you. And Siteseeker, I've flown against you. I remember you. We've had some hellacious CTA matches. I look forward to even more brutal ones. Those are always good fun. I also look forward to eating your tail guns in my He-162. And so on and so forth. Cheers, have fun with the B-17!
