It seems like it's a pc-style project where they released the engine and basic content first, then add pc-style updates. Since they can't be bothered to make the updates work on consoles, consoles are stuck with the basic stuff.

If 505 has put a gag order on the devs, somebody needs to find the people at 505 and let em hear it.

I think a large-scale "sequel boycott" might wake them up. They said they're already working on a sequel, probably counting on the money from it.

Even more effective would be to find 505's investors and shareholders, if any, and tell them you won't buy the sequel without better support for the original.
I'm pretty sure, during his posting days, Anton stated that 505 would not be involved in any sequel to BoP so a boycott would be unneseary. I'll see if I can find the post. By all means though boycott any future 505 published games if you want.

Watched a couple of vids and this looks pretty grisly. The trophy kill the predator does looks mad.
There's a multiplayer mode for 18 people where everyone is a marine except for one player who's an alien. The players the alien kills become aliens. That sounds top. Must be harrowing being last man standing as sole marine with 17 aliens after you!

Yeah, I also saw this post recently (although it's quite old):

Of course, "fund' means paying before the game releases.

Nobody is funding sequel now - but we already have started some development, because sales are ok. Of course, if noone will sign for it later - sequel won't be released.
This means they are working on the sequel with their own money, and gambling on the fact that a publisher will pick it up in the future. That publisher is highly unlikely to be 505, and if no-one does pick it up, it will more than likely be curtains for Gaijin.

So don't boycott the sequel, openly support it. Whether you think it or not, Gaijin have been really good to the community, and the sequel will be awesome because they will just be adding all the features we wanted in BoP and learning from their mistakes.

Anton, if you happen to read this, and if you haven't already, I recommend approaching Atlus...they're renowned for bringing harder than average, non-mainstream foreign games to the American market. And they must have a bit of cash and confidence after Demon's Souls.
