Its got to be an La, the wings and fin are for sure. I'm pretty sure its not an la-5 though. The engine looks much larger with bigger intake and the rear fusalage a lot shorter (maybe just the angle?) the rear of the cockpit also angles up more. Ive never seen that fairing on the fusealage just above the wings before either.

This is a good one Ace

Hmmm, hey soviet i do believe that right there is the Polikarpov I-185 M-71.

I can see why people would mistake it for something in the La series

To be perfectly honest if i had never played 1946 before i would never have guessed it

He's right you know. I'd never have got that I hadn't even heard of it before. I guess I was close though saying an La(I-16)

Yeah, Emilies make great targets for my patrolling Wildcats, Hellcats, Buffalos, and any other US Navy/Army Air Corp. plane I can think of that's fighter capable.

Catalina wouldn't be a bad plane, just to fly around in. (Doesn't even have to be war time, just flying around the Pacific and Atlantic etc. would be so much fun in one of them.)

Very good. I knew that La would be given some serious thought, and so I had to give something not well known but fairly easy by look.
