Once a few weeks back I was flying my hurricane and firing at a 109 when you wouldn't believe it, 1 then another friendly Spitfire mkiX flew inbetween us and into my fire, I was a bit pissed off and just kept firing at the 109. Well somehow the first Spit stole my kill, then got killed by my friendly fire. The second Spit crashed into the exploding first spit and I flew just underneith the huge ball of flame. I lol though, it wasn't embarising for me, they deseved it. I can't remember being embarased at all playing this game in fact, its all for fun.

Here's one for the collection of embarrassing moments:

I love the 109's. Usually I like to fly against a flight of 5-6 spitfire MkII in a Emil. However, today I did something... well, you be the judge.

I set up the training mode: 5000 meters to start with, and altitude advantage taken. Realistic mode, limited F/A, Dover as the scenery. Hazy weather and evening as the time setting. Veteran AI setting.

There I was, flying around to get the 6 spitfires I choose as opponents. I immediately dove to get the first two, full throttle at 19,000ft. I lined up the dark shaped planes and opened fire. Within the first seconds one of the spiffies bursted into flames, the second one was diving so I followed him and got a long range deflection shot at 900 meters that left the bastard smoking and spinning. Now to zoom back to the perch and get the other 4. As I climbed at 45º and 290 Kts. I targeted the closest spitfire and changed to the third person view to watch him try to follow me. Not far behind him were the rest of the spitfires climbing to get me... then is when things got interesting:

The spitfires weren't stalling! I had climbed close to 5000 ft and my airspeed was below 100 Kts and the suckers kept on coming! Then, when one got close enough, the target display showed the full aircraft ID: they were Spitfires Mk IX!!! I must have made a mistake while setting enemies on the setup screen. Needless to say that they tore a new butthole on me. However, I did managed to shoot them all down on my second attempt.

When I spend more than an hour turning around aimlessly, hoping to find the two damned AI YAK-3 that seem to predict and counter my every move.The best part?I was still shot down in the end.

You know i actually think i remember that, i specifically remembered saying "what the hell" then saw who had made the kill and had to laugh a little

See I bought this Game,And I had waited for it for like 3 years.Well the game had a bunch of good stuff about it,but it had this bad scoring problem and some of the aircraft did not work right.Anyway I waited and waited
for them to get it fixed but they were so busy working on there next game it took forever to get a update.Then the guys had the NERVE to talk about using there own money to work on the game.Never thinking of the money I had spent.Then on there site I found more info on the next game than on the update.Well the people all stopped playing the game,now I cant find a game so I just traded it in on Forza 3 got 20.00 bucks for it!And yes after waiting that long for the game and then to be treaded that way by the game makers. Yes I was embarrassed .Embarrassed that I was not smart enough to just say"There is something wrong with this game things like brakes dont work with my stick,The only U.S fighter does not work right.It just does not work like the game says it will."Its broke" I want ALL my money back Im sure I could have,Thats whats embarassing..

Wow, I did not see that one coming. Actually, I'm quite surprised someone came up with this so late. I was almost starting to believe this forum would go without rants for a while . Thanks for proving me wrong with yet another useful post .

There are quite a few non-US planes that work pretty well, you know. Also, trying the demo would have shown you that the P51 was crap, so you should probably be more embarassed for "wasting" your own money despite the facility to try before you buy.
