you crazy??? NEVER use surfaces to get out of a spin, it will only make it worse; that was true in 1946 and still is in CLoD. this is how you do it: throttle to null and counter the direction of the spin with full rudder; maintain it for at least 4s, if nothing happens in the way of stabilizing the trajectory, ease and reapply, that's all you can do till the (bitter or not) end; if you're already facing down vertical, you may find useful to apply a tiny amount of throttle; then when you've recovered, bring back the throttle gently. also in severe spins you can try give small burst of throttle if the torque counters the spin direction, but this is kind of desperate measure.

and if you enter a flat spin, most of the time the best you can do is open the canopy..
