"Instant" means, exploding on impact. Of course it must have armed before. And as an 'explosion on impact' is dangerous for any dropping plane, the arming times are longer than for bombs with a delayed explosion.

Once you have set the type of explosion, arming times are then in the box right next to it, if you have a few to choose of.

And BTW... there was no russian citizen working on this. Beginner crap...
