I probably spend most time in the widest view, only using the narrower views when I want to read some gauges or look closer at something outside, but mainly because most of the time I'm not in direct combat and need to keep an eye on more of the sky overall.

In combat I still use all the views, but just change them more often, to keep track of what's happening around me. Generally speaking I only zoom in to the narrowest view when aiming and shooting, and even then I try not to, as I don't find the view very realistic and I prefer to just see what I think a real pilot would have seen, even if it is less spectacular than watching things in greater detail.

I also find the narrower, most zoomed in view makes it harder for me to judge distance properly and it can lead me to colliding with other planes or the ground if I'm not careful.

I'm no ace or expert though, and everyone has their own way of doing things, so just play around with the views yourself and see what works best for you.

Edit- BTW, I forgot this was the screenshots thread, it's best to keep the discussions to a minimum on this thread as it's just meant for pictures really.
