@Loistian Im not sure i remember right about this but you need this item `heroitem_red_sands_quest_pila` , go to game\sessions\red_sands\interface_textures to see what it is. In game i think it`s in Verona in that new cave right from place new companion appears. You go there then dig, and when find nothing go to tavern (beer quest), and ask there if some1 found something in nearby cave.
That new quest is real pain in ass, you need to run around all islands like idiot for little things, so it`s hard to remember all points, but as you say something in translation is mixed (try new 1.3 red_sands form original tread, and then apply grimelevens translation for that version it`s ok there i think but i already finished that quest before upgrading to 1.3 so i`m not sure).
