skins not correctly loaded

i just found out, that if you load a certain skin, and choose a certain regiment, in the option menu it will appear, but when playing a mission, only the general skin will be loaded, but not the regiment blazon and the tailnumber.they just dont appear on the skin.
is there a workaround for that issue?
for example could i open a folder where those regiment paintings are located, and copy it into a skin directly?
