well you play with a way higher res than me.
i know most people hate to lower the res, but for me i gained 15fps average through it. although it looks pretty blurry, i dont really mind.what i want, is to maintain a overall convincing look of the game.thats why i would never consider to turn trees for example off. the only real problem are the shadows for me.the game just looks soooo more liflike with them enabled.but those damn shadows really hit my fps.
