I have the same video card and am also having the same return of the awful stutters with this beta patch. The previous beta was much better with the stutters..they were almost all (but not completely) gone. The new beta has buggered things up for those of us with a dual GPU card again (or at least, those of us with a 5970). I did delete the cache etc... and made no changes to any of my in game settings pre and post this latest beta patch.

They must sort it out before official release, there is much 5970 owners and with this beta2 it's totally unplayable with that terrible stuttering and flickering.
As i say allready in another post, i can test some betafixes with my 5970 how is it working
