From my testing SHADOWS should be turned to OFF, the performance hit is just not worth it...Using the same Quick mission over and over while changing 1 thing at a time let's you see the difference
Yeah, I found the same thing with the shadows which is a shame because they help with situational awareness a lot. I posted this analysis of a track in the patch feedback thread but probably relevant here too, just need to repeat with this mod in place:
